ABOUT MONEY TREE

Two practices.
One idea.

Most financial firms do one thing. Money Tree Tax & Insurance Strategies runs a planning practice for families and business owners — and a training practice for the life insurance producers who serve them. Both run on the same belief: people make better decisions when they understand the whole picture.

Money Tree began with a simple frustration.
Too many people were being sold products instead of given a plan.
WHY WE EXIST

Most people don't need more products. They need the whole picture.

Someone buys a life policy to protect their family — but never looks at how it interacts with their retirement accounts or their tax bracket. Someone maximizes their 401(k) contributions every year, then retires into a higher tax rate than they ever paid while working. Someone's business entity is set up one way and their personal planning another way entirely.

None of these are mistakes born of carelessness. They happen because the advice was split across three people who never talked to each other.

Money Tree exists to close that gap — to look at tax, insurance, and retirement income as one connected system, and to explain the trade-offs clearly enough that you can make the call yourself.

HOW WE WORK

Three things we won't compromise on.

Advice before products

We don't lead with a solution. We lead with a review of your situation, because a strategy that ignores half your picture isn't a strategy.

Coordinated, not siloed

Tax, insurance, and retirement decisions affect each other. Planning them separately is how money leaks — and how good decisions get undone.

We teach the approach

The same framework runs our client practice and our producer training. We think it works better when more people in this industry use it.

Meet the team

The people behind the plan.

Three producers, three states, one philosophy — advice before products, coordinated from every angle.

Ruth Erb

Founder
★ U.S. Army Veteran

Ruth built Money Tree Tax & Insurance Strategies around a conviction that took shape over 25 years in finance: people don’t need to be sold more products — they need someone to look at the whole picture first. She holds an MS in Accounting and spent 17 years as Managing Director of Tax, Accounting & Compliance in an institutional setting, where she learned exactly how tax, coverage, and retirement income either work together or quietly work against each other. That’s the discipline she brings to every client plan, and it’s what she teaches the producers she trains. Ruth leads the firm from Virginia and serves clients nationwide.

Rebecca “Becky” Veras

IUL Strategist

Becky is Money Tree’s indexed universal life specialist. She helps clients see past the sales pitch to how an IUL actually behaves — what it can do, what it can’t, and where it genuinely fits in a coordinated plan — and she helps producers learn to explain it the same honest way. She works with clients from Atlanta, Georgia.
